A few months ago I revealed my Dirty Little Secret – watching the complete first season of Jersey Shore while I stayed up with Reid. Ooooh what a train wreck! I tried to fight it… but was hooked and literally counted down the days to the Season Two premiere.
Could anything make it more exciting? How about the note I received from my brother-in-law Marlon, whose band Velvet Code was slotted to be a featured artist! I literally fell off the couch when I saw the “Now Playing” link pop up and heard his song “Say You Love Me” during the closing credits. Two fist pumps Marlon!

I guess it was a bit surreal for me, because:
a) I have Christmas dinner with this guy. Seeing him as a bona fide musician is a little bit strange and unnerving.
b) After 12 beers and much coaxing he sang this exact song at my wedding (not very romantic but everyone was liquored up so no one noticed. Still have memories of Rubes go-go dancing around him.)

Now, with respect to the show: this season looks freakin’ promising! LOVE that they brought back Angelina to stir the pot, and is it just me, or do all the gals look like they’ve been seriously made over? Give it one more season and they’ll all be stick thin and blonde à la The Hills!
And I’ve still got a little crush on Bart Simpson Pauly D. He’s got such a cute smile! Wouldn’t want to date him but would love to hang around as a friend. Although I loathe the gym, could care less to tan and doing laundry willingly? I don’t think so. GTL FAIL.
